Sense is a whole home monitoring system that helps you keep track of where you are using energy. Sense help you understand how much energy your home is using, as well as when and where, and empowers you to find savings. Sense gives you the tools to break it down and take action.
With Sense you can see when the garage door opened, the television turned on, or when the dryer finished its cycle. With Sense you can even see if your sump pump is running, or running too much! You can also see if you turned off the oven or not. You can even set an alert to inform you if it’s been on for over an hour.
The Sense monitor installs in your electrical panel. (We recommend you have Peter do that.) Then the monitor reads the electrical current being drawn and sends the data to the cloud. Next, Sense analyzes that data and sends it back through the app on your phone or desktop. Over time, Sense learns what’s happening in your home, detects devices, and provides information on your energy use.
Sense even integrates with select IoT devices to give you more control, with your voice or inside the Sense app. You can link Sense with Hue, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and smart plugs from TP-Link/Kasa and Wemo.
